I'm Alive! Yay!

Yes I realize that it has been almost two months since I posted but, honestly, I have had no desire to come near my computer at home. When you stare at a computer for at least 8 hours a day, sometimes a lot longer, the last thing you want to do is come home and stare at it for the rest of your evening. Yes, I know, you think that's lame. I don't care though.

So to recap the second half of the weekend (as I sat around on my ass for the first two days of it), here goes:

Sunday: went to see the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. Fabulous fabulous. Cocktails afterwards at the Hudson Hotel outside. GORGEOUS weather. Boyfriend whispered fantastic things in my ear. Went to surprise dinner at Gramercy Tavern. Ate second best meal ever eaten in NYC. Managed to roll myself out the door after eating too much to spend the rest of the evening with Boyfriend.

Monday: went upstate to hang out on a boat. Did some light drinking, some swimming in the brackish Hudson River (looked gross, felt really good), some barbecuing. Again, GORGEOUS weather. Came down the river to under the 59th street bridge to watch the fireworks in the city. Ok, I'm so cheesy but it was totally romantic. The fireworks were awesome. Didn't get to bed until 1:30 AM so needless to say I am TIRED today. Scheduled unusually early bedtime to be able to get up and be a trained monkey again.

I love New York.
